Welcome to Arep Academy. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Arep Academy (academy.arep.sa) and the courses, tools, and workshops we offer (the "Services"). Arep Academy is operated by the Academic Research and Educational Platform (Arep), Commercial Registration No. 1010883838, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia ("Arep," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Services. You agree to provide accurate, complete information when registering and to keep it up to date.
2. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login details confidential, and for all activity under your account. Notify us at reach@arep.sa if you suspect unauthorized use. Each account is personal to you and may not be shared.
3. Our Services
Arep Academy provides:
Video courses on laboratory techniques, with access for as long as the course remains available on the platform ("lifetime access" — see Section 6).
Exam-preparation tools, including practice questions, simulations, flashcards, and an AI-supported readiness indicator.
In-person workshops delivered at host universities or research centers.
We may add, change, or discontinue parts of the Services, and will give reasonable notice where a change materially affects content you have purchased.
4. Prices, payment, and VAT
Prices are shown in Saudi Riyals (SAR) and include Value Added Tax (VAT) unless stated otherwise. You agree to pay the price displayed at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by a licensed payment service provider; we do not store your full card details. We will issue a tax invoice for each purchase.
5. Certificates
On completing certain courses, you may receive a certificate of completion from Arep Academy confirming that you completed the course. It is not an accredited academic qualification and does not, by itself, grant any professional licence or entitlement. We are working toward approval from the National eLearning Center (NELC); any accreditation will apply only from the date it is granted.
6. Access to digital content and intellectual property
"Lifetime access" means access to a purchased course for as long as Arep continues to operate the platform and offer that course; if we retire a course, we will give you reasonable advance notice. All content on Arep Academy — including videos, simulations, questions, materials, text, logos, and software — is owned by Arep or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and use the content for your own learning only. You may not copy, record, download (except where expressly allowed), share, publish, resell, or commercially exploit any content, or give others access to your account.
7. Workshops
Workshops are subject to available capacity and scheduled dates. They take place at host universities or research centers and are subject to the host's rules, safety requirements, and access procedures; you may be asked to present valid ID. We may reschedule or change a workshop's venue, date, or instructor, and will notify you if we do.
8. Cancellation, refunds, and withdrawal
Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Under the Saudi E-Commerce Law, the 7-day right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content once it has been accessed or used. Specific rules for courses and workshops are set out in the Cancellation Policy.
9. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Services lawfully and respectfully. You must not: attempt to disrupt, hack, or gain unauthorized access to the platform; upload harmful or unlawful content; misuse the AI tools; infringe others' rights; or use the Services in any way that breaches Saudi law.
10. Disclaimers
The Services are provided for educational purposes. While we work hard to deliver high-quality content, we do not guarantee any specific outcome, including passing any university exam or assessment. The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," to the extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Saudi law, Arep will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be excluded under Saudi law, including your consumer rights.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms, misuse the Services, or where required by law. We will act fairly and, where appropriate, give you notice.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
14. Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent authorities and courts of the Kingdom.
